Current Animal Research and Rural Development (CARRD) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal committed to fostering the dissemination of recent advancements and in-depth understanding in the fields of animal science and allied sciences. The journal aims to serve as a platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers to share high-quality research that contributes meaningfully to the advancement of animal agriculture.
The scope of the journal covers a broad range of topics, including but not limited to animal production systems, breeding and genetics, animal nutrition and feed technology, animal health and welfare, livestock product quality and safety, environmental sustainability, and the socio-economic dimensions of rural development in relation to livestock production. Manuscripts that emphasize interdisciplinary approaches and propose innovative solutions to challenges in animal agriculture are particularly welcomed.
Current Animal Research and Rural Development places a strong emphasis on publishing research that enhances animal productivity and welfare while also supporting improvements in the quality, safety, and value of livestock-derived products. Through rigorous peer review, the journal ensures the scientific integrity, originality, and relevance of each article it publishes.
The journal is fully open access, and to support equitable knowledge dissemination, no article processing charges (APCs) are currently levied on authors. This policy is intended to encourage contributions from a diverse range of researchers, especially those from developing regions, who are engaged in advancing the field of animal science and rural livelihoods.
